A multidisciplinary effort led by the school of architecture, Solar Decathlon 2007 was intense.

The concept phase lasted one semester wherein i was part of a team design the experience of the bathroom. We wanted to create a flowing in a stream aesthetic. This was based around a common drain for the bathroom water, refrencing a stream which flows to one direction, one drain.

Throughout the summer I was hired on to build the actual house. I worked between the designers and the architechs to flesh out our concepts.

My responsibilities for the build included building and designing a wall and door for the bathroom (the only door in the house)
Working with Neha to design the shared wall shelving between the bathroom and the bedroom
Designing the construction of, and building the shelving units
Securing sposorship in the form of supplies from Kohler and Caroma
Working with the utilities team to route the plumbing lines and construct manifolds
