I had become frustrated with the consumption taking place in the creation of furniture, "What a waste of this tree's wood." I thought.

All of the parts were sourced from construction discard; a different side of the tree.

  cedar scrap

This workbench contains a collapsable truing stand to save 2square feet of living space. The essential part of a truing stand is the distance the stand is mounted from the wall. 15inches is the maximum radius of a wheel and you need at least that to spin and straighten it. The large tongue of the truing component interlocks with the wall unit, to create a nice stable working height. When not in use, the stand folds away into a shelf.

Boxes of spokes fit snugly between the upper and lower shelf elements.
